What could be better than a baseball field filled with baseball players, alumni of the Major League Baseball Players Association and U.S. military veterans? This past Saturday, June 16th, SENTRYSIX made that happen. As the Presenting Sponsor of the Eva’s Heroes Annual Baseball Clinic, SENTRYSIX provided the opportunity for baseball players, who were special needs teenagers and adults, to play ball. In attendance was former Texas Ranger, Donald Harris, founder of the Donald Harris Baseball Foundation. He, along with several additional former MLB players, coached small groups of special needs participants at four skill specific stations of pitching, hitting, catching and base running. The event ended with a Grand Slam Baseball Game with onlookers cheering. Among the spectators showing support were members of SENTRYSIX, including the President and CEO, who made this event possible.

At the center of SENTRYSIX is Zach Rice, President and CEO, a U.S. military veteran who founded the company. With ten plus years of law enforcement and security experience, he identified a gap in the quality of security and created his own successful company. With a heart for the special needs community, Mr. Rice reached out to Eva’s Heroes to provide his support for the many programs, events and activities geared towards individuals with intellectual special needs. Mr. Rice believes that providing support for honorable causes is one aspect of how SENTRYSIX creates a difference in San Antonio. Creating meaningful partnerships with businesses and non-profits is one way SENTRYSIX gives back. All proceeds went in support of Eva’s Heroes to invest in more opportunities for the special needs community.
