To become a Security Specialist at the SENTRYSIX Defense Group, Inc., is a unique and prestigious title that is earned. The following are the basic minimum qualifications for the position of Security Specialist:

  • Must be 23+ years of age
  • Must have a minimum of five years experience as a full-time police officer or five years experience in the U.S. Military, in a related career field
  • Must have a clean criminal history and able to pass an extensive background investigation to include financial disclosure
  • Must be able to pass and maintain physical fitness standards in accordance with company policy and the position held to ensure candidates are able to perform the essential functions of the position
  • Must hold valid required State Licencing to include Texas Private Security Level III (Commissioned Security Officer) and Level IV (Personal Protection Officer) licensing.
  • Must have an honorable discharge from the U.S. Military (If Applicable)

 

Assignment opportunities for Security Specialists may include:

A Commissioned Security Officer position at the SENTRYSIX Defense Group, Inc., can be an exciting opportunity and is a highly sought after opportunity, that provides potential advancement opportunities to the position of Security Specialist.

 

The following are the basic minimum qualifications for the position of Commissioned Security Officer:

  • Must be 21+ years of age
  • Must have a minimum of two years related experience in private security, law enforcement or U.S. Military
  • Must have a clean criminal history and able to pass an extensive background investigation to include financial disclosure
  • Must hold valid required State Licencing to include Texas Private Security Level III (Commissioned Security Officer)
  • Must have an honorable discharge from the U.S. Military (If Applicable)

  • Residential Communities
  • Hospital Security
  • Commercial & Retail Security
  • Mobile Security Patrol

Resort Security Officer position is a rewarding career opportunity. As a Resort Security Officer, you are tasked with providing exceptional security, customer service and support to hotel/resort guests while providing protection to the property and assets. Resort Security Officers respond to any situations arising at the resort that may require security intervention.

 

The following are the basic minimum qualifications for the position of Resort Security Officer:

  • Must be 21+ years of age
  • Must have a minimum of two years related experience in private security, law enforcement or U.S. Military

The un-armed courtesy officer is an entry level position for those who seek to start their career in the public safety sector and private security industry.

The following are the basic minimum qualifications for the position of un-armed courtesy officer:

  • Must be 18+ years of age
  • Must have a clean criminal history and able to pass an extensive background investigation to include financial disclosure
  • Must be able to obtain required state licensing, Texas Private Security Level II
  • Must have an honorable discharge from the U.S. Military (If Applicable)

 

Assignment opportunities for Un-Armed Courtesy Officer may include:

  • Commercial Security (Office Buildings, Warehouses, Etc)
  • Residential Communities

Specialized Units / Duty Positions:

The following are minimum qualification requirements for specialized units within our firm. These special duty assignments are only open for current employees of SENTRYSIX. Outside candidates may not be hired directly into the following positions, unless the vacancy announcement is posted publicly, with a waiver of qualification standards:

This specialized unit position is considered a special duty assignment in addition to the candidates current position within the company. Employees selected for these positions are eligible for special assignment pay and travel benefits.

 

The following are the basic minimum qualifications for the position of Canine Handler:

  • Must be 23+ years of age
  • Must have a minimum of five years experience as a full-time police officer or five years experience in the U.S. Military, in a related career field
  • Must have a clean criminal history and able to pass an extensive background investigation to include financial disclosure
  • Must be able to pass and maintain physical fitness standards in accordance with company policy and the position held to ensure candidates are able to perform the essential functions of the position
  • Must hold valid required State Licensing to include Texas Private Security Level III (Commissioned Security Officer).
  • Must be a current SENTRYSIX employee holding the position of Security Specialist or higher
  • Must have a minimum of six months of employment history with the Company
  • Must not have any disciplinary actions on file within the previous 12 months 
  • Candidate must have a Canine Handler Certification from an accredited/recognized training provider, recognized by SENTRYSIX.

To become an Emergency Response Team Officer at the SENTRYSIX Defense Group, Inc., we only accept the best candidates to join this unit along with our Executive Protection Agents. This specialized unit position is considered a special duty assignment in addition to the candidates current position within the company. Employees selected for these positions are eligible for special assignment pay and travel benefits.

 

The following are the basic minimum qualifications for the position of ERT Officer:

  • Must be 23+ years of age
  • Must have a minimum of five years experience as a full-time police officer or five years experience in the U.S. Military, in a related career field
  • Must have a clean criminal history and able to pass an extensive background investigation to include financial disclosure
  • Must be able to pass and maintain special qualifying physical fitness standards in accordance with company policy and the position held to ensure candidates are able to perform the essential functions of the position
  • Must hold valid required State Licensing to include Texas Private Security Level III (Commissioned Security Officer) and Level IV (Personal Protection Officer) licensing.
  • Must be a current SENTRYSIX employee holding the position of Security Specialist or higher
  • Must have a minimum of six months of employment history with the Company
  • Must not have any disciplinary actions on file within the previous 12 months 

To become an Executive/Personal Protection Officer at the SENTRYSIX Defense Group, Inc., we only accept the most qualified and experienced candidates for this position. This specialized unit position is considered a special duty assignment in addition to the candidates current position within the company. Employees selected for these positions are eligible for special assignment pay and travel benefits.

 

The following are the basic minimum qualifications for the position of Executive/Personal Protection Officer:

  • Must be 25+ years of age
  • Must have a minimum of five years experience as a full-time police officer or five years experience in the U.S. Military, in a related career field
  • Experience in diplomatic protection or executive protection is preferred
  • Must have a clean criminal history and able to pass an extensive background investigation to include financial disclosure
  • Must be able to pass and maintain special qualifying physical fitness standards in accordance with company policy and the position held to ensure candidates are able to perform the essential functions of the position
  • Must hold valid required State Licensing to include Texas Private Security Level III (Commissioned Security Officer) and Level IV (Personal Protection Officer) licensing.
  • Must be a current SENTRYSIX employee holding the position of Security Specialist or higher
  • Must have a minimum of six months of employment history with the Company
  • Must not have any disciplinary actions on file within the previous 12 months

Phase 1: Apply

Phase 2: Interview Phase

After careful review of applications for candidates, only those who complete their entire application, and upload a resume that reflects their education and experience, will be contacted. We will typically notify you by either phone or email with an invitation to interview.

Phase 3: Tentative Selection – Background Investigation / Security Clearance Screening / Fitness Exam

Due to the sensitive nature of work you may be involved with, we conduct very thorough background screenings. This may involve employment verification checks, drug screening, criminal record checks and financial history disclosures. Physical fitness exams may also be conducted during this phase dependent upon the position applied for.

Phase 4: Conditional Offer of Employment

Once a candidate completes all phases of the hiring process, a conditional offer of employment will be made with an Entry on Duty (EOD) Date, or employment start date.
